Named after one of my style icons, Isabella Rossellini. I watched an interview with her and couldn't get my eyes off the simple gold pendant she wore. It looked like a gold nugget with it's smooth and fluid organic form. The next day while walking on the beach, I found it. A worn down shell. Almost identical in form and I knew I needed to cast it. I love the significance of this shell being found on the beach in the Boudi National Park and that the word Boudi means "Heart" in Aboriginal. And this form is also the "heart" of the shell. The remainder that is left when the rest of the shell is worn down and broken away. Tumbled by the waves for hundreds of years and sanded by the ocean floor, this smooth and lovely form really does hold the soul of the sea.
Cast in brass and plated in 22ct gold or sterling silver. Pendant is approximately 25mm in diameter.
