While beachcombing, Lisa loves to tune into nature’s perfectly imperfect state of flux, feeling utterly present while collecting treasures to cast into her pieces. Finding beauty in the broken or old things is a celebration of the “perfectly imperfect” way that nature arranges itself.
“The lovely symmetric pieces I find on the beach are brought to life in silver and gold. For example, I love worn down pieces of shell that have been beaten by time and tide leaving the "heart' of the shell or what I refer to as the backbone. The tough inner workings that we all naturally possess. The symmetry and the symbolism of this ocean treasure couldn't be more perfect."
I am thrilled to announce my latest business venture with India. I have an amazing team in Jaipur who cut gemstones to my personal specifications. It’s opened up a whole new level of creativity. I will now invite clients to approach me for commissions or select a stone from my exclusive collection and together we can design a one of a kind piece.
‘Currently, I’m obsessed with creating my perfect “travel capsule wardrobe”. An upcoming trip to Europe will include lots of operas and concerts and beautiful jewellery is a saviour in these instances of limited luggage. The right LCD piece can elevate the most simple dress into evening wear instantly. A silk shirt with the right earrings can take you anywhere. And when by the seaside, those same jewels take on a whole new chic holiday aesthetic when worn casually.

With an ethical sensitivity and respect for the global environment, Lisa’s "Slow Fashion" pieces mean that her creations are made to last the distance and always look and feel fabulous. Currently more than half of the designs are made in Australia, but wherever possible, Lisa still likes to keep her wonderful team of Balinese artisans employed. After 25 years they know me well and “ If I can dream it, they can make it.” Our recycling processes have expanded to glass as well as silver and brass.
