On a recent trip to the French Island of Corsica in the Mediterranean sea, I found a beautiful beach with an abundance of shells. The beach was famous for the "eye of Santa Lucia". A white spiral-marked shell symbolising spiritual vision and protection. It is considered a powerful lucky charm.
